Hi, I'm Patrice and I'm the Clinical Recruitment Manager here at DMC Healthcare. 

What does that involve? 

1. Creating a robust recruitment strategy for DMC Healthcare to ensure our services are fully staffed and that candidates have the best experience possible during the recruitment process.

2. Executing that strategy.

3. Nurturing that strategy and ensuring a top tier recruitment function for years to come. 

Prior to arriving at DMC, I spent circa 8 years in healthcare. I worked as a project manager, helping to refurbish a Pediatric A&E and Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). This was a fast paced role which posed lots of challenges as the project had to go ahead whilst patients were still being treated. I then worked as an assistant service manager at a UTC, ensuring the service operated smoothly and that it was fully staffed. Providing NHS services can be extremely demanding at times, however I loved every minute of these roles and met some fantastic people. Finally, I crossed over into the world of internal healthcare recruitment. I started my journey as an in-house recruiter and then became a talent acquisition partner, senior talent acquisition partner and now I'm a  recruitment manager. As a politics and international relations graduate, talent acquisition isn't a path I envisaged embarking on. However, I can safely say that even though the path has sometimes been jagged, overall, it's been extremely rewarding!

My advice for anyone wanting to join DMC is very straight forward. We want you to want to work with us. Of course people need to earn a living, however where you choose to apply is still an informed choice. We do important work here at DMC by cutting down NHS waiting lists and providing excellent patient care. So show passion throughout the process, do your research on the company and ensure that you're interested in making a difference in healthcare!
